Florad sp. z o.o. started business in 1988, under the name Florad Building Woodwork Company. Initially, Florad engaged mostly in production of interior design products such as floorboards, panelling, furniture fronts, profiled strips, glued construction elements, facade and upholstery boards. Since 1991 our main line of manufacture switched to glued pine blanks for roof windows and other wooden elements for FAKRO sp. z o.o.

In 2001, the company has achieved its current legal form - Florad sp. z o.o. (limited liability company). Our employment remains stable at 150 people. We do have at our disposal both a machine maintenance department and our own repair and construction team.

  • gluing machines:
    • Famad hydraulic presses for gluing wooden elements - 4 units, 23 sections and 33 running meters in total
    • pneumatic presses for wood bonding - 3 units;
    • Famad finger jointing lines - 3 units;
       
  • other machines:
    • sawdust extraction systems - 6 units + 3 sawdust silos (total capacity of approximately 500 m3)
       
  • internal transport:
    • Linde H16 forklifts - 6 units;
    • Linde H45 and H50 forklifts - 4 units;
    • Linde E16 electric forklift trucks - 2 units;
       
  • plant heating: plant boiler room heated with wood waste fuel (sawdust, chips), 3 industrial furnaces:
    • Unimax 600 kW
    • Binder 840 kW
    • Binder 2 300 kW
      total 3 740 kW
  • The plant is equipped with 10 Ekopol chamber dryers, each up to 100 m3 of capacity with water heating and recuperation. Total single drying input equals to approximately 600 m³, which allows us to dry approx. 1500 m3 of 50 mm lumber per month.
